Call for papersChallenges in the Scholarly Publishing Cycle 2019
Librarians and information professionals are invited to attend an event that will give an invaluable insight into best practice for delivering the open research agenda.

Organised by Research Information magazine in partnership with Info International, Challenges in the Scholarly Publishing Cycle 2019 (CISPC) will be held on 20 November at London Art House.

Having considered feedback after last year’s event, and having canvassed a selection of our readers, this year’s CISPC is specifically aimed at librarians and information professionals looking to further the open research agenda. It will incorporate the following themes:Convincing academics to share research;Tackling the administrative overhead of open research submissions; How technology tools can help smooth submission and searchability; andPublishing ‘work in progress’ vs the wait for completed research articles.
In particular we want to hear about how you are helping researchers at your institution, and this event will provide a platform for you to share your experiences and to learn from others!

We are now accepting applications for papers/presenters at this event. To apply, please send a title, author and 150 word summary of your proposed presentation to Tim Gillett, editor of Research Information, at tim.gillett@europascience.com.
If you’d like to discuss the content of your paper before submitting, Tim will be happy to talk to you on +44 (0)1223 221040.
Deadline for paper submissions is Friday 14 June.
